Six movements, in the same order, every morning.
The atelier is not a display. It is a fixed sequence of six movements: from a clean surface and cold light to a box closing. What sits between them is the explanation of the piece.
Here the movements are seen as they are made in the morning: one hand, one tool, one material at a time.
- IMise en place
The atelier morning

Stillness before opening: prepared surface, clean tools, cold light. No hands yet.
- IITempering
Tempering

Couverture worked to the exact curve. One degree over, and the shine is gone.
- IIIMoulage
Pouring and moulding

Precision, silence, the weight of the material. A mould cannot be corrected once poured.
- IVGlaçage
Glazing and cutting

One flat surface, one clean cut that shows the layers exactly as they are.
- VFinition
Finishing

Piping-bag finishing: a precise measure and a steady gesture for every piece.

Closing

The box is the last gesture of the craft, not a step of logistics.
The hands in these movements are the atelier's and are attributed to no individual.
The craft is a measurement before it is a taste.
- Temperature
- Couverture follows a known curve; it is not judged by eye.
- Time
- Each movement has its duration. Rushing it shows in the piece, not the schedule.
- Quantity
- Small batches finished the same day, so no stock grows old.
